GINGER-MINT LIMEADE

This is a ridiculously refreshing beverage reminiscent of classic lemonade, but a bit more sophisticated.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients
⦁ 2 to 3 juicy lemons
⦁ 5 to 6 juicy limes, plus slices for garnish
⦁ 2 cups packed fresh mint sprigs, plus some for garnish
⦁ ½ cup maple syrup
⦁ 6 Tbsps chopped fresh ginger, (about 3 ounces)
⦁ 1 cup ice

Instructions
⦁ Line a fine-mesh strainer with a large piece of cheesecloth, folded over once. There should be enough excess cheesecloth hanging around the strainer to pull up the sides and squeeze the mixture.
⦁ In a high-powered blender, combine 6 cups filtered water, lemon juice, lime juice, mint, maple syrup, ginger, and ice. Blend on high until smooth.
⦁ Pour into the cheesecloth-lined sieve. Once most of the liquid has been strained, gently pull the cheesecloth up on each side and twist and squeeze gently, squeezing out the remaining liquid.
⦁ To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the limeade over. Garnish with lime slices and fresh mint sprigs.

Notes
⦁ I highly recommend making a large batch of this for a lunch or dinner party, as it is quite impressive sitting in a beautiful jar on the counter!
⦁ Make sure to load it up with lemon and lime slices and loads of fresh mint sprigs. It will be bursting with colour. This also makes for a great cocktail base. Simply add your desired spirit.
